My daughter Felicia has Level 3 autism, and she’s the reason this site exists.When Felicia aged out of Michigan’s educational services at 26, I watched her go from being known by name to becoming a case number in a system designed around inadequate funding and policy choices that other states have
already proven wrong.

The services cliff that devastated our family wasn’t a natural disaster. It was manufactured by decisions that can be unmade.

OASIS isn’t another resource list or inspirational blog.

It’s a policy advocacy platform.

We research what’s broken, document
what other states do better, and provide the specific
legislative tools families need to demand change from
local government all the way to Congress.
